Mr. Anderson chairs the Firm's Administrative and Governmental Practice Group concentrating his practice in government representation, administrative law, construction litigation and commercial transactions. He has represented clients before the Governor, Cabinet, legislature and administrative agencies as well as before the City, County and all other units of local government.

Mr. Anderson has worked extensively with city and county governments in west central Florida representing private businesses. He has negotiated franchises, permits, inter-local agreements and local ordinances. He has also negotiated and drafted extremely complex contracts and documents. As lead counsel for the Tampa Sports Authority he negotiated and drafted the license agreement for the Tampa Bay Bandits football team to use the Tampa Stadium. He also arbitrated and negotiated substantial revisions to the license agreement for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A large portion of Mr. Anderson's practice centers around construction issues. His daily practice involves every aspect of construction, from roads to buildings to rail.

Mr. Anderson has served as General Counsel for the Tampa Port Authority, the Tampa Sports Authority, the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s office and the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority.  He has represented the University of South Florida, the City of Tampa, Pasco County and other government agencies on special matters.

Because of his broad experience in governmental issues, Mr. Anderson is frequently called upon by his clients to help develop both long and short range strategies and proposals at both the local and state levels. Mr. Anderson was recognized as a 2006 Super Lawyer in the Govenment Practice.

Mr. Anderson served as a member of the Tampa Sports Authority from 1992 through 2000, and was vice- chair and its chair during the design of Tampa’s new NFL stadium and contract negotiations with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is past president of the University of South Florida National Alumni Association. In 1999, he was appointed by The Florida Board of Regents to the University of South Florida Presidential Selection Advisory Committee. In addition, he is currently vice-chair of the Tampa Friends of the Riverwalk and a member of the Board of Governers of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Anderson is a private pilot, and Coach of the Bayshore Little League Minor C Champion Timber Rattlers.
