Mr. Russell is double Board Certified in Civil Trial and Business Litigation Law. He specializes in complex commercial litigation including foreclosures, anti-trust, securities and product liability defense, and currently represents General Motors in several complex product cases in South Florida. Additionally, Mr. Russell has represented clients before many local and statewide political bodies and has represented state agencies and local units of government as well.

Mr. Russell recently received the 2008 Medal of Honor from The Florida Bar Foundation. In 1999, he was named Outstanding Past Voluntary Bar President by the Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents and in 2000 he received The Florida Bar Foundation Presidents' Award for Excellence.

Mr. Russell has been a member of the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar and is a former member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association. He is a former President of the Broward County Bar Association, former Chairman of the Seventeenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and former Chairman of the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission. In addition, Mr. Russell served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Nova Southeastern University Law School from 1991 to 1997 and as President of the Florida State University Law School Alumni Association in 1986. He also served as President of The Florida Bar in 2001-2002.

Mr. Russell is recognized in Florida Super Lawyers, 2006-2008 and is AVĀ® rated by Martindale Hubble.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he began his career as a federal law clerk in the Southern District of Florida.
